The 2019 Servus Edmonton Marathon Family Festival Weekend kicks off August 17-18 and We hope you’ll join us for the 28th annual year of one of Alberta’s best road races. Registration numbers climbed last year once the word was out about the course re-design, with over 4,500 participants over race weekend. The energy of a downtown Start/ Finish Line has generated a lot of excitement with more spectators, an increase in volunteer involvement and a better experience for runners.
Join us at the world class Edmonton Convention Centre downtown and get ready to take in the City and River Valley views, runs through beautiful established neighbourhoods, and enjoy the thrill of running down Jasper Avenue as the crowds cheer you on!
The Servus Edmonton Marathon Family Festival Weekend includes a 42.2km Marathon Run/Walk, 21.1km Half Marathon Run/Walk, the Army 10km Run/Walk Presented by the Loyal Edmonton Regiment, 5km Run/Walk and an ABC Kids Activity Center and Fun Run. This Event draws national attention as it is a certified Boston Marathon Qualifier for 2020.
We look forward to welcoming you to one of Western Canada’s flattest courses with fast times, a well organized event, and amenities that are first-class at our Free Sports Expo inside the Edmonton Convention Centre.
FREE Friendship Run/Walk
Get motivational advice from John Stanton, renowned author and founder of the Running Room. Join John, the Running Room and your Pace Bunnies at the Edmonton Convention Centre on Saturday, August 17th for a 3 km walk or run to ease any pre-event nervous tension and then stay for refreshments.
In order to ensure that all participants have a safe and enjoyable race please note the following important information:
(NEW): 06:00 a.m.: 6+ hr for all runners & walkers starting on South side Jasper at 97 St, heading east. Runners must pass the half-way point no later than 10:00 a.m. (4 hrs) or you will be stopped at 95 St and presented a Half-Marathon medal.
(NEW): 07:00 a.m.: Marathon; starting on South side Jasper, at 97 St, heading east. Runners must pass the half-way point no later than 10:00 a.m. (3 hrs) or you will be stopped at 95 St and presented a Half-Marathon medal
08:00 am: Half Marathon; starting on South side Jasper at Edmonton Convention Centre, head west.
(NEW START TIME) 10:30 a.m.: Army 10km Presented by The Loyal Edmonton Regiment; starting on North side Jasper at Canada Place Clock, heading west.
11:30 a.m.: 5km starting on North side Jasper Ave at Canada Place Clock, heading west.
